
Guangyun Temple: Dai Buddhism in a Han-style wooden hall
Cangyuan county town
A Theravada Buddhist temple built in 1828, whose hall mixes Han Chinese and Dai building styles. Inside are ten old murals of Buddha stories and a local chief on procession. It is small and usually quiet, a good stop on the morning you arrive in Cangyuan.
