Walk Jianshui west to east so you pass every sight once
Jianshui old town
Take a taxi to the West Gate, then walk the main street east: the Confucian Temple, the old Lin'an prefecture office (临安府署), the imperial exam hall (学政考棚) and Zhu Family Garden, a late-Qing merchant's mansion. You finish under Chaoyang Tower, the East Gate, with its snack street. At an easy pace, with food stops, it fills a day.
