Yubeng is its own trip: plan three days, don't tack it on
Yubeng, Meili Snow Mountain
The trekking village below Meili's peaks is the base for long day hikes to the sacred waterfall and, when it's open, the Ice Lake. A road and shuttle bus from Xidang now reach the village, but the point of Yubeng is walking, and that needs at least two nights there plus a day each way.
What locals sayTrekkers call it one of the best walks in China and warn that squeezing it in on a whim leaves you exhausted and rushed.
