Cizhong Church: a Tibetan Catholic church and vineyard on the Lancang
Cizhong village, Yanmen, Deqin County
French missionaries built this church in the early 1900s, and it still serves a Tibetan Catholic congregation. The building mixes Chinese roofs, Tibetan details and a European bell tower, and the vines they planted still grow next door. It's a long drive south of Deqin, so it fits best as an overnight on a loop down the Lancang.
