Meili sunrise at Feilaisi: book two or three nights, not one

The famous moment is 'sunrise on the golden mountain,' when first light turns Kawagebo and the peaks beside it gold for a few minutes. Clouds cover the range on many mornings, so give yourself two or three nights in Feilaisi and check a cloud forecast each evening. Be at the platform before first light and stay until the color fades.
