Munao Zongge: dance with thousands of Jingpo around the Lantern Festival
Mangshi and Longchuan
The Jingpo people's biggest festival is a mass dance: costumed leaders guide long lines of dancers in circles around tall painted posts on a dedicated festival ground. It's held around the 15th day of the first lunar month: Mangshi's 2026 festival ran 2–4 March, and the 2027 Lantern Festival falls on 20 February.
