Walk Cangshan's Jade Belt Road for lake views without a climb
Cangshan, above Dali Old Town
A stone path cut along the flank of Cangshan at about 2,600 m, almost level for kilometers, with Erhai spread out below. Ride the Zhonghe chairlift up from just outside the old town, walk south along the path for an hour or two, then ride or walk back down.
What locals sayHikers recommend it as the easiest way to see the whole lake from above, gentle enough for anyone used to walking.
