Luchong, a 4A-rated scenic area on the west shore, takes in an old fishing village with a huge banyan tree, a sandy bay and Bijia Hill, a short climb (or a cable car ride) to a view along the water. Pair it with the pink beach for a half day. Stay for a fish lunch in the village.
