Bamei: reach a Zhuang valley by boat through a cave
Bamei, Guangnan county
Bamei is a Zhuang village in a valley ringed by karst cliffs, and the way in is by boat through a river cave. That's why it gets compared to the Peach Blossom Spring, the old fable of a hidden valley. Boats run from about 8:30 am to 5 pm, so stay the night to see the valley at its best: mist at 7–8 am, and at 5–6 pm the silhouettes of bamboo rafts on the flooded fields.
What locals sayTravelers who stayed over say the empty valley at dawn and the starry sky are the reason to come.
