Jinji Peaks at sunrise from the Laojianshan viewpoint
Jinji village, Luoping County
The defining Luoping view: cone-shaped karst hills rising out of canola, with mist lying low between them. Laojianshan, at about 1,580 m in the middle of the peak cluster, is the best of the three paid viewpoints, a climb of roughly 20 minutes. Sunrise in bloom season is around 7:15–7:30 am, and the mist is usually best in the hour or so after.
