Jiulong Waterfalls: walk in from the west gate, ride back from the east
Luoping County
A staircase of ten waterfalls along about 4 km of the Jiulong River, some 22 km east of Luoping town. In 2005 Chinese National Geography magazine named it one of China's six most beautiful waterfalls. Enter at the west gate, walk the riverside path past the falls, and take the shuttle back from the east gate. In canola season the water is low but the falls are still pretty; in the summer rains they roar.
What locals sayVisitors in spring say it is lovely even with less water, though it is at its best in summer.
