World Dinosaur Valley in Lufeng: real fossil beds, theme-park prices
Lufeng, Chuxiong
Built over the site where Lufengosaurus and other early Jurassic dinosaurs were excavated. The highlight is the fossil hall, where bones are left in the ground as they were found. Much of the rest is theme park, with models and shows.
What locals sayMost posts treat it mainly as a family outing and note the ticket is one of the priciest in the prefecture.
