Dahaizi cranes: arrive before 4 p.m. for the feeding and lift-off

Black-necked cranes winter on the Dahaizi wetland, and the best show comes late in the day. The light is good from about 3 to 6 p.m.; between roughly 4 and 5:30 p.m. the birds are fed and whole flocks take off and circle. Watch from the covered viewing corridor.
