Snow peaks without the cable car: Baisha, Hutuwo and Yuhu in one day
Foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Lijiang
Start at Baisha village and its Ming and Qing murals, continue to Hutuwo Pasture (paid) for meadows, yaks and goats facing the peaks, then reach Yuhu village, about 2,700 m, for late-afternoon light. It is an easy day and needs no Jade Dragon ticket.
What locals sayThe laziest way to see the snow mountain from Lijiang, and many people like it better than going up the mountain itself.
